Assisting at three levels - community individuals, groups, and the services that support them.
- Individual level: as a qualified counsellor and coach, I work with individuals in the field of personal development and professional development.
- Groups: keen advocate of action learning and bringing groups together around a common issue, facilitating their interaction, then helping them towards action.
Recent projects have included developing positive role models, community involvement of young people, intergenerational work with the ‘Guns and Gangs’ initiatives and positive activities in the North. Current work encompasses young person involvement in evaluation of services and fostering their own development. I am an active member of the Action Learning Northern Network. - Organisational level: working with the development of services.
In particular, using soft systems methodology to enable cooperation and participation in both design, development and evaluation of services, especially where there is extensive partnership working. Recent projects have been for Community Safety and Involvement, Youth Justice, Third Sector workforce development, evaluation and research for the National Youth Agency.
